Runway Or Dinner? | The art of Runway

Unconventional runway shows have been at the forefront of Fashion Weeks across the globe. The fashion world revels in the peculiar, bizarre and unexpected catwalks that manifest the normcore vibes of fashion into the extreme. The sheer normality of such situations transformed into the luxury, grandeur and opulent spectacle that is the runway, emphasizes the way in which fashion can change the world we live in.

CHANEL

From the inside of Chanel Airlines to a feminist march on the streets of Paris to a supermarket, Chanel transforms a fashion show like no other. Taking the normality of life and presenting it to be the most luxurious experience of one's life.

FENDI

After taking over the Trevi Fountain in Rome, Fendi created a show full of floating, floral garments. If the location wasn't envious enough, the clothes will be.

DIOR

The Louvre was transformed into an opulent and vibrant hill, full of purple lavender, by Dior during Paris Fashion Week. An interesting take on the meeting of the natural and the more urban nature of the fashion industry.

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN

McQueen, a genius in the most unconventional of runway shows. From the spray painting of a dress live on stage to the double-sided mirror of a box, there was no limit to the imagination that engulfed the McQueen brand.

What's your favourite runway show?
