Berlin | Travel

I'm writing this in an extremely tired mindset having only recently returned from this trip, but I can safely say that Berlin will always have a piece of my heart. It was a school trip, which usually I don't really like because there's always so many people. Though this wasn't an issue because my textiles class only has seven people; a perfect number. Plus being in Sixth Form makes trips so much better; who really likes strict itineraries, right? We're doing this exchange with Erasmus, which is a European exchange. Obviously disaffected by 'Brexit', we made our way, luggage and passports in hand, to the historical city of Berlin.

Parts of its famous wall stand with it's magnificent art plastered over the city, just like this outside of the Mall of Berlin. Obviously as fashion students, we spent extensive hours trying on their clothes. Shopping tip; clothing in Berlin is cheaper and much prettier than anything you'll find in British stores.

John Paul Gaultier designed clothes for a show called 'The One' following a boy searching for, quite obviously, 'The One' in the underground party scene. A must-see attraction and truly the best night, whether you're a fashion lover or not.

Be careful of the trains. If you're British, you'll know the Tube stops and gives you enough time to get on and off; in Berlin it's an entirely different story because the doors can be opened even when the train's moving.

The Jewish Memorial is truly a breathtaking experience, a must see when visiting. As well as the Reichstag (government) building with it's glass viewing dome for a better view of the city.

What's your favourite place in Berlin?
